Don't Stress Over Equity

Don't hide your ideas. Don't make someone sign an NDA. Don't be that guy. Just build and see where it goes before you cross bridges that will hinder growth.

Don't hide your ideas. Don't make someone sign an NDA before you'll even explain what you're working on. Don't be that guy.

Ideas are cheap. Execution is everything. The person you're worried about stealing your idea probably has 10 of their own they haven't built yet.

The NDA Problem

Every time someone asks me to sign an NDA before a first conversation, I lose a little respect. It signals inexperience. It signals fear. It signals that you don't understand how this works.

The best founders I know talk openly about what they're building. They get feedback. They iterate. They build in public.

Just Build

Stop worrying about people stealing your idea. Start worrying about whether you can actually build it. Start worrying about whether anyone will care.

Build first. See where it goes. Cross the legal bridges when you actually have something worth protecting.
